Rat Trap

Positive Paper002

Well, if Fox-Talbot could do it with mice, why can’t I do it with rats?

Wooden box. Rodenstock Imagon lens firmly mounted on the front surface. Secondary box sliding in and out for focus. The double dark and ground glass mechanism from an old Graphic View at the back. 4″ x 5″ rectangles of Ilford Multigrade paper in the double darks.

Cheap fodder. Easy development of paper negatives. Scan, invert, and calotype them with the computer. It ain’t digital but neither is clam chowder…

Okay, Henry, let’s experiment. To the lattices!
