Butterflies Are Free

DSCF0003_edited-3Or at least fairly reasonably priced…

This pod was nesting on someone’s refrigerator and did not move when I closed in with the Fujifilm X100 set on macro. This is because they are made of plastic and paper and hold onto the metal door with magnets.

I would suggest that they could also be found at junk markets, newsagents, and school fetes. Likewise fruits, flowers, and seashells.

All you need is 3 or 4 exposures and a simple editing program and you can make your own wrapping paper, screen savers, coasters, prophylactics, and menu covers. Just print them out on suitable substrate and there you are.

Note that some retailers and market traders are onto this and will chase you away from their stores or stalls. Get your revenge by using telephoto lenses from a public walkway and offer discount copies of their stock a week later.
