I visited a friend yesterday for coffee, biscuits, and gossip. All three proved excellent and I came away well satisfied.

Fortunately I was carrying my trusty Fujifilm X100 with me – the result of a New Year’s Resolution to be more photographically aware and more entertaining with my weblog columns. Thus i was able to capture the heading image.

It is a small shrine/display/sales stand for the Indian umbrellas that she has for sale. As you can see, Indian goods are not suited to minimalist Bauhausian display counters in off-taupe and beige rinse. When the Indians colour in something they use ALL the crayons in the box and they press down hard. As they should.
